[RicoTown – 공항]
누군가의 인생이 한 장면을 넘기는 순간, 공항은 늘 그 자리에 있다.
떠나는 사람에게 그곳은 기대와 후회, 미안함과 고마움이 뒤섞인 경계선이다.

RicoTown의 첫 싱글 곡 〈공항〉은 그런 복잡한 마음을 단순한 길 위에 담아낸다.
기타리스트 준킴이 만든 반복적인 멜로디는 마치 떠나는 길의 리듬 같다. 겉으로는 단순하지만, 그 안에는 수많은 감정의 결이 숨어 있다. 민진의 베이스는 땅을 단단히 붙잡고, 이재형의 키보드는 부드러운 빛으로 길을 비춘다.
수민과 준킴의 두 기타의 메아리가 서로를 감싸 안으며, 유민의 사운드 디자인은 바람처럼 공기의 색을 바꾼다.

이 곡의 마지막을 채우는 히든 사운드는 한 사람의 등을 토닥이는 손처럼 들린다.
“괜찮아, 다 잘 될 거야. 이제 새로운 길을 걸어봐.”
그 메시지는 직접 들리지 않지만, 분명히 그 안에 있다.

RicoTown은 이 음악 안에서 준킴의 지난 여정과 새로운 시작을 함께 담았다.
그가 ‘준킴 트리오(2012)’에서 보여줬던 그루브, ‘준킴 감성주의(2014)’와 ‘준킴 감성주의 트리오(2023)’에서 들려준 서정성이 ‘양화대교’의 세션을 맡았던 실력파 베이시스트 민진과 신선하고 탄탄한 연주력을 선보이는 재형과 수민, 그리고 사운드적 발란스와 새로운 사운드를 창조해 내는 유민을 만나 더 따뜻하고 입체적인 사운드로 이어진다.

〈공항〉은 화려한 이륙보다는, 출발 직전의 고요함에 머무는 곡이다.
그곳에서 RicoTown은 담담히 첫걸음을 내딛는다.

[RicoTown – Airport]
When a person turns a page in life, the airport is always there —
a boundary where excitement meets regret, gratitude meets apology.
RicoTown’s debut single “Airport” captures that delicate moment,
where countless emotions are layered upon a single, simple path forward.
The repetitive melody, written by guitarist Jun Kim, carries the quiet rhythm of departure.
On the surface, it feels minimal, but beneath it lies a web of complex feelings.
Minjin’s bass grounds the piece with warmth, while Jaehyung’s keyboard lights the way ahead.
The twin guitars of Sumin and Jun echo around each other,
as Yumin’s sound design changes the color of the air, like a gentle breeze.
At the end of the song, a hidden sound unfolds —
a soft hand on the shoulder, whispering,
“It’s okay. Everything will be fine. Take your first step on this new road.”
You may not hear it directly, but it’s there, lingering quietly between the notes.
Within “Airport”, RicoTown embraces both Jun Kim’s musical journey and a new beginning.
From the groove of Jun Kim Trio (2012) and the lyrical depth of Jun Kim Sentimentalism (2014) and Jun Kim Sentimentalism Trio (2023),
his sound evolves with a new ensemble —
the accomplished bassist Minjin, known for her session work on “Yanghwa Bridge”,
the fresh and solid musicianship of Jaehyung Lee and Sumin,
and Yumin’s refined sense of sound balance and creativity.
“Airport” doesn’t aim for a glamorous takeoff.
It lingers in the stillness just before departure —
and there, RicoTown quietly takes its very first step.
